British citizen ‘Isis', banned from booking flights because she shares name with hated terror group

A WOMAN called Isis says she was barred from flights because her name is the same as the terror group.

Rani Isis Lake, 29, first had a problem when she booked tickets for a trip in Canada.

The flight from Toronto to Vancouver, leaving this month, was booked and then
cancelled by three different agents. She finally booked just under her first name Rani.

Isis says the “ban” came after Isis claimed it blew up a Russian jet over Egypt in October.

The chef, from Kent, said: “It’s so unfair. I hope it’s not discrimination but it’s too suspicious. Now I’m worried what will happen when I go through the airport.”

Her first attempt at booking the Sunwing internal flight came via Expedia.

After giving her name she was told of “technical problems” and never heard back.

Then lastminute.com and CheapOair told her by email the flight had been cancelled at her request, leaving her baffled.

Both firms blamed Sunwing, who deny cancelling flights for Isis. Expedia apologised for not returning her calls and said it would try to help with the trip.
