ARMS DEAL: Dasuki, Metuh and others, to remain in EFCC custody.

The spokesperson for the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Olisa Metuh, and others involve in the arms deal are expected to remain in detention, according to report which emerged on Friday.
Report has it that they won’t be released by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission until charges have been met by the detainees.


According to report, the operatives are still interrogating the suspects, so the detainees might remain in custody until the Anti-graft agency has enough findings to set-up charges against Metuh and others.

The Punch, question the opinion of those calling for the suspects to be granted bail, when investigation is still underway, “Those people you are talking about are still being detained, they are facing interrogation.
Nobody can tell you when they are going to be released, may be, that could come up after their charges have been prepared”
The source further stated that, “This gives a strong indication that the Spokesman of PDP, Olisah Metuh, will spend the weekend at the EFCC detention facility.” The operative added
Meanwhile, the former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki, is expected to remain in detention, having spent more than two weeks behind bars already. While a German who helped facilitate the training of 750 Special Forces in Belarus, who was picked up on December 28, 2015, is still waiting to face charges being prepared against him in court.


Also, the EFCC arrested a close associate of President Muhammadu Buhari, Jafaru Isah, who is also a former military administrator of Kaduna State, and former governorship candidate of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change in Kano State.
